Our approach
Palefire works to blur the historically distinct lines between decorative design and ‘fine art’, bringing a joyfully artistic sensibility to functional, sustainable design for the home. We make homeware that challenges, and offers an antidote to, the trends that dominate the market.

Objects of art

During our designing and making process, we draw on the spirit and romance of artistic historical moments that inspire us, such as Art Nouveau, the Omega Workshops, Abstract Expressionism, or mid-century Murano glass-making, to make works that function in the home as an art piece in their own right.

A considered practice

Our work is underpinned by a commitment to responsible design practices. We believe that designers and makers have a duty to be considered about their production and its environmental impact. We make it our responsibility to ensure that the products we make are as environmentally friendly as possible, and we work hard to keep our made-to-order collection predominantly recycled materials-based, and with minimal waste.
